BIO ECO BASE — medium do filtracji biologicznej
BIO ECO BASE to porowata ceramika przeznaczona do zasiedlania przez pożyteczne bakterie. Rozbudowana powierzchnia wspiera rozwój biofilmu uczestniczącego w biologicznym oczyszczaniu wody. Medium można stosować w akwariach słodkowodnych i morskich oraz w oczkach wodnych.
Bakterie nitryfikacyjne w dojrzałym, natlenionym filtrze przetwarzają amoniak i jony amonowe w azotyny, a następnie w azotany.
Parametry i produkcja
Elementy BIO ECO BASE mają około 40 mm średnicy i 40 mm wysokości. Rozmiar porów podany w specyfikacji wynosi 20–30 μm. Medium jest wytwarzane z obojętnego materiału ceramicznego i spiekane w temperaturze około 600°C.
Powierzchnia oznaczona metodą BET wynosi 2250 m²/l.
Zastosowanie i przygotowanie
Przed użyciem przepłucz BIO ECO BASE, aby usunąć luźny pył i pozostałości produkcyjne. Następnie umieść medium w koszu lub komorze filtracyjnej, zapewniając swobodny przepływ. Wstępna filtracja mechaniczna pomaga chronić złoże przed zamuleniem.
Podczas konserwacji płucz delikatnie w wodzie z akwarium i zachowuj część dojrzałego złoża bez jednoczesnego czyszczenia. W galerii znajdują się oryginalne zdjęcia, schematy struktury i materiały pokazujące zastosowanie.
English — full product description
BIO ECO BASE — biological filter medium
BIO ECO BASE is a porous ceramic intended for colonisation by beneficial bacteria. Its extensive surface supports biofilm development and biological water treatment. It can be used in freshwater and marine aquariums and garden ponds.
In a mature, oxygenated filter, nitrifying bacteria convert ammonia and ammonium to nitrite and then nitrate. Nitrate reduction through denitrification requires suitable conditions, including limited oxygen availability; it does not automatically follow from placing ceramic media in any filter.
Parameters and manufacture
BIO ECO BASE pieces measure approximately 40 mm in diameter and 40 mm in height. The pore size stated in the specification is 20–30 μm. The medium is made from an inert ceramic material and sintered at approximately 600°C.
The BET surface area is 2250 m²/l. This value describes a material property, not an area wholly accessible to bacteria or guaranteed filtration performance in a particular aquarium.
Open pore structure
Open, interconnected pores facilitate water circulation through the medium and reduce the risk of clogging compared with a structure without open connections. Flow helps remove loose remains of old biofilm. It does not eliminate the need to check sediment and maintain the filter periodically.
Porosity and a large surface create space for bacterial colonisation. For heavier stocking, choose a suitable quantity of medium and filter capacity, taking oxygenation and feeding into account.
Effect on water parameters
BIO ECO BASE is intended to work as an inert medium without deliberately raising pH or GH. Supporting biological filtration helps maintain suitable water conditions, but does not replace testing or water changes suited to the tank's needs.
Application and preparation
The medium can be used in canister and other external filters, sumps, hang-on-back filters, trickle filters and appropriately designed undergravel systems. It may also be placed in a flowing part of the main tank.
Before use, rinse BIO ECO BASE to remove loose dust and manufacturing residues. Then place it in a filter basket or chamber, ensuring unrestricted flow. Mechanical prefiltration helps protect the bed from silting.
During maintenance, rinse gently in aquarium water and leave some mature media uncleaned rather than cleaning everything at once. The gallery contains original photographs, structural diagrams and application materials.

Struttura a pori aperti
Effetto sui parametri dell'acqua
BIO ECO BASE è progettato come materiale inerte, senza aumentare intenzionalmente pH e GH.
